The win raises the Bearcats' district record to 7-3, while Everman drops to 0-10.

Jacob Hickey started on the mound for AHS, allowing a run on three hits with no walks and three strikeouts in two innings.

The Bearcats dialed up five runs in the bottom of the first inning. The big hits in the frame were a two-RBI triple by Jacob Ashkinos and an RBI single from Michael Alvarez. Hunter Rosson scored on a balk in the first, and Calloway Shands plated Alvarez on a fielder's choice ground out.

Everman scored its lone run in the second inning courtesy of a single, sacrifice bunt and RBI base hit by Ruben Cadena.

The Bearcats got the run back and one more in the bottom of the second to take a 7-1 lead. Windes reached on an infield hit and crossed home plate after a triple from Benson. Benson scored later in the frame on an error.

Aledo added a run in the fourth for an 8-1 advantage. Benson singled and advanced to second base on an infield hit by Nick Cheema. Benson scored while attempting to steal third base when the throw from Everman catcher Eddie Montanez sailed into left field.

The Bearcats ended the game on the 10-run mercy rule in the fifth when Andserson's opposite-field, line-drive triple plated Peyton Berkely, Cam Caldwell and Windes.
