McCall Ladies Dress Up and Donate

More than 25 McCall third-grade young ladies have been participating in a book study with Mrs. Reynolds where they read The Hundred Dresses together. The book is about a young girl who is very poor and she wears the same faded blue dress to school every day. When she encounters others making fun of her daily, she tells them she has 100 dresses at home.

As a follow-up activity to the book, the girls chose a day to all wear dresses and invited others to join them to show that “while they can look beautiful on the outside, real beauty comes from within.” They also brought more than 50 dresses to school to donate to the Clothes Closet.
